For this weeks discussion we will discuss self-limiting statements -how you stop yourself from growing. Some examples such as what it means to ‘motivate’ yourself, how you affect your environment, why it’s so hard to wake up in the morning and stuff like that.

I will start the conversation in this direction, but aim to have the discussion group guide it towards specific cases (i.e. what ‘stresses you out as a grad student) using some frameworks we learned in Kolb’s learning styles and that some of learned at the deep democracy seminar (in particular the my side, your side and objective side). With that said, you really have to come to this meeting in an open minded state.
