Greetings all engineering students,

Are you up for an enriching and rewarding experience? Do you have a passion for teaching, or ever thought of giving it a shot? Do you want to have tons of fun, and make some easy cash? If you said yes to any of these questions, then you just have to read on.

Leaders of Tomorrow:Graduate is teaming up with Let’s Talk Science to take engineering to the classrooms of the next generation. A great way to showcase engineering is with Engineering Kits which can be used to demonstrate what engineers do best: applying science to understand the world and to solve its problems.

As engineering students you are all eligible to take part in the *LoTG-LTS Engineering Kit Design Competition*. All you have to do is submit a proposal for the design of an engineering kit that can be taken to the classrooms of middle schools or high schools to educate kids about some aspect of engineering. You can submit a proposal as an individual, or just grab some friends and come up with a team design. Please click here to see the requirements for the proposal.

*** The deadline for proposal submission is January 13th, 2012 ***

The best proposals will be selected to be presented to a panel of judges. The top three will then be chosen to become kits to be used in classrooms to showcase engineering. But that’s not all! We think the winners should pocket some cash for their hard work, and this is how:

  1. First place: $100
  2. Second place: $80
  3. Third place: $60

And get this! We really want to help you make your kits a reality, so LoT:G will cover the entire cost for building the kit. How awesome is that!?

It’s just so easy!! So come on my friends. Send in those proposals and let’s show these youths why engineers rule the world! If you have any questions at all, please email them to rhiad[DOT]gajraj[AT]utoronto[DOT]ca.

Have fun!
LoT:G exec.
